🥩 Classic Beef Meatloaf

🛒 Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 eggs

  • ½ cup milk

  • ⅓ cup ketchup

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

 


 

🍅 Glaze (optional but recommended)

  • ½ cup ketchup

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp mustard

 


 

🔪 Instructions

1. Preheat oven

  • Set oven to 375°F (190°C)

2. Mix ingredients

  • In a large bowl, combine:

    • Ground beef

    • Breadcrumbs

    • Onion & garlic

    • Eggs & milk

    • Ketchup & Worcestershire

    • Salt, pepper, and seasonings

  • Mix gently (don’t overwork the meat or it’ll be dense)

3. Shape the loaf

  • Form into a loaf shape and place in a baking dish or on a lined baking sheet

4. Add glaze

  • Mix glaze ingredients and spread over the top

5. Bake

  • Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until internal temp reaches 160°F (71°C)

6. Rest & serve

  • Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing (keeps it juicy)

  • Add a splash of milk if mixture feels dry

  • Use a mix of beef + pork for extra flavor
